organizations performing end-user computing or showing a capacity for
performing end-user computing.
Narrative:
To be relevant, a document must discuss end-user computing, or identify
organizations either currently engaged in end-user computing or showing a
capacity for end-user computing at some time in the future. Indications of
the capacity for end-user computing would include any two of the following :
1) previous history of, or ongoing decentralization of computing power
(moving from mainframes to minicomputers, or moving from minicomputers to
personal computers or workstations), 2) the purchase of large numbers of
personal computers, workstations and servers, 3) increased computer
training of professional and managerial staff, 4) the installation of
local area networks, 5) investment in 4GL software development tools,
desktop publishing, spreadsheets, or database applications.
